Can moisture get in to the containers and damage my belongings

Shipping containers are dry and mould-free; they must be to keep cargo dry!

The only moisture that can enter comes in with your goods. The worst offenders are fabric lounges and beds. To remove any existing moisture, we recommend leaving your goods in the sun to dry out before storing them.

Please note that if you take un-dried mattresses and lounges into any storage facility without drying them out, you will get mould growing on them.

If you're storing for a long time, it's a good idea to use bed sheets or removalist's padding to cover your fabric items, whether in our shipping containers, a garage or a multi-story facility.
